It is imperative today that students of the 21st century have the knowledge and skills to apply their learning within a competitive and drastically interconnected educational landscape that encourages them to be creative, outward thinking and collaborative young people. Students today need to be able to problem solve, innovate,comprehend and use a selection of digital tools and mediums that will allow them to meet and exceed both industry standards within the workplace and collaborate, lead and innovate within the post-secondary pathway of there future endeavors.
The Business and ICT Studies Department at Chaminade College School provides students with many real world, practical opportunities to evolve both their entrepreneurial, technical and digital literacy skills. Our SHSM (Specialist - High - Skills - Major) program offers a certificate in Information/Communication Technology or Business Studies that will further enrich such skills in a Post-Secondary recognized program outside of the traditional classroom.
The Catholic Graduate Expectations are undeniably part of all of our Business and ICT department. Students within our program courses grow through Christ-Centered learning and apply them to real world realistic scenarios and opportunities.

SHSM
Chaminade College School offers two exceptional SHSM programs.
​
They are concentrated in post-secondary pathways such as ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and Business Studies. Students who are seeking a “specialized” learning experience (including Co-Op), in the fields of Business (Marketing, Office Management etc.) and ICT (Graphic Design, Video Production, Animation, IT, Networking, etc), this program offering is available starting in Gr. 11 and upon graduation students will receive a “red seal” authorized by the Ministry of Education and recognized by post secondary Ontario institutions.

As part of ICT SHSM programming at Chaminade, students have the opportunity to be involved in an active partnership with CISCO Academy and graduate with a Certificate in IT-Essentials which is industry recognized.
